B.I.O.S.- WHAT WILL BE YOUR ‘LIFE STORY’? Gk. βίος (bee-os)
You are part of a Great Story! Here at COTK you will hear a lot about ‘story’. BIOS (βίος) is a Greek word basically meaning “Life Story”. Your Life is an unfolding Biography. Imagine someone reading your life story. What would you like them to know? What elements would you like to be part of the story of how you lived? How we structure and prioritize our daily lives determines our biography… our Life Story. At COTK, we use BIOS as an acronym to focus our attention on 4 core pillars upon which to build our lives.

WILL YOU LIVE A LIFE:

Before God [worship]-	Will your life story be of one who worships God in all you say and do? Romans 12:1 (ESV) I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
In Community [fellowship]-	Will your life story be of one who embraces the joys and challenges of building Christian relationships within a local church family? Acts 2:46–47 (ESV) And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people.
On Mission [evangelism]-	Will your life story be of one who seeks to fulfill God’s call to reach the lost, broken and hurting with the hope of Christ? Matthew 28:19–20 (ESV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
[in your] Sphere [calling]-	Will your life story be of one who searches out your God-given abilities, while living within the wise boundaries of your calling? Eph. 4:7,16 (NLT) However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ…He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

 

So, what will be your biography? How do you live a life that fulfills each of these Kingdom values? In the end, when all is said and done, what will be your Life Story?
