In John 2:23-25 many people believe in Jesus, but we are told He did not entrust himself to them because He knew what was in a man. Jesus later tells the parable of the wise man who built his house upon the rock and the foolish man built his house upon the sand. When the rains, and the floods, and the winds came, the house on the sand fell with a great crash (Matthew 7:24-27). We often expect the rains, floods, and winds to be troubles, but sometimes the rains are blessings, and a person’s character is not strong enough to handle them. There are too many instances of people in ministry whose lives have come crashing down upon themselves and upon those who were sheltering under their roofs. In this course we will be studying what it takes to become a person to whom Christ can entrust Himself and, more importantly, how to maintain that position.
